Philosophy
Mindset is trained, not assumed
A fast athlete who falls apart after a mistake, or shuts down under pressure, hasn't finished developing. We coach the mental side of sport with the same intention as the physical side.
What we work on
Confidence
Dealing with mistakes
Handling pressure
Competing
Resilience
Effort
Coachability
Preparation
Body language
Goal setting
Some of this happens in conversation after a hard session. Some of it shows up as part of an athlete's This Week's Drill once they register, tied to what they're actually working through.
You vs you
In training, it's you vs you. On game day, it's you vs your opponent. We work on both: showing up for yourself when nobody's watching, and competing without fear when everyone is.
The best feeling is walking out of a session knowing you accomplished something.
Parents lead by example
Naveed is a dad of two. He used to coach his son; now he plays with him instead, and they push each other. His reminder to every parent: put your own oxygen mask on first. Kids copy what they see.
